The
moorage sewer pump station, that pumps all the sewage from our moorage into the
City
sewer system, is experiencing higher than normal pump failures.
These
pump failures are frequently caused by inappropriate items being discarded
through
the homeowner’s toilet/honeypot systems.
What do
these items have in common?
Answer: They are just some of the items that have been dug out of
JBMI’s
sewer system recently, at a high cost to us all!
Your home’s holding tank and our sewer system are not designed
to pump and process anything except human waste and toilet paper.
PLEASE
help protect and maintain our community investment.
“PUT
NOTHING IN THE TOILETS THAT HASN’T BEEN EATEN FIRST”
[except t.p.]
**Please inform
your guests and/or renters of this necessity as well**
Keep in mind that
if these inappropriate items damage YOUR honeypot (before getting to the
pump station) a
new pump plus the labor to replace them can be very
costly to you,
the homeowners, as well. Adding
additional or a larger pump station
to the moorage
system would result in a special assessment to each homeowner.
To avoid future special
assessments to replace the pump station
system,
we ALL must
be knowledgeable about potential problems to the system
and practice
pro-active preventative maintenance, as noted above,
to minimize damage to your home’s pump system, as well as the moorage system.
THANK YOU for your help and attention
to this important financial matter.
