Moorage Clean Up Day
Saturday May 26th is the date for the annual JBMI Cleanup Day. On Tuesday, May 22 we will have two 20 yard dumpsters delivered at ramp 2 and ramp 6; they will be picked up on Thursday, May 31st. We will also have a marked off area for hazardous recycling such as paint and oil. On May 26th from 9am to 12pm there will be volunteers and JBMI employees to assist you with bringing items to the dumpsters. Call the office on or before Friday the 25th and let us know if you need assistance. We will have coffee and muffins by the West Gate. Good time to volunteer to help your neighbors clean up their deck and visit over refreshments.
Landscaping Committee is busy with plans for the summer including the planting of replacement trees and beautifying the ramp entrances. We always need more volunteers!

Ray Pratt, City of Portland Fire Marshall will be conducting an inspection of JBMI this spring. He will be looking for missing Oregon State Marine Board plates, uncovered honey pots, gas containers stored on floats, recreational wood burning fire pits within 25 feet of a combustible structure and also you must have 2 feet of cleared space on your float to get from the front of your home to the back deck in case of a fire. Also, tiki torches are not allowed in JBMI. He also will be checking to see that all homes have a 50 foot hose with an attached nozzle visible from the walkway. Failure to have the above items may result in a fire code violation fine to JBMI that will be passed on to the Member.
