JBMI Stickers and Guest Parking Passes Required
Thirty three notices were given last week for vehicles with no JBMI parking stickers.
Eight stickers were issued to Members that had new cars and had not came to office for new stickers. Nine guest passes were issued for visitors. Also several renters came into complete background screening. This should be done prior to moving in.
The Moorage Office is getting calls from Residents about the inconvienience of having to park along way from their ramps.
Please do not park extra cars or visitors cars that are not being used daily close to the ramps. Parking along the fenceline or in the lot at the West Gate keeps the bankline open to Residents with mobility issues that don't have a handicap sticker.
On Wednesday, August 22nd at approximately 11:00 pm, Rick our Secuitas Guard, found evidence of car prowlers at Ramp 4. They removed car covers of 2 vehicles and tried to hotwire them and removed numerous items from the car. They also broke into the carport storage unit #48 and stole tools.
Some of the items were recovered scattered across the parking lot and on the other side of our fence in the Home Depot back lot.
If you are missing anything, please contact the office. We have a box of items here that were picked up Thursday morning.
Please keep do not leave any valuables in your car and do not leave any gate cards or remote fobs in your cars. This would be their way out the gate if they got your car started.

One of JBMI's goals is to maintain a clean and efficient recycling program for the moorage. Please DO NOT place any TV's, electronics, paint, washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers or any large furniture items in either the green or blue dumpsters. Republic charges JBMI an additional fee if these items are found in the dumpsters.
Please call the Moorage Office for larger items such as TV's refrigerators, freezers and large furniture to be disposed of. They will let you know if this item can be recycled and what the cost will be.
Watch this spot for a recycling column detailing what can and can't be recycled and the cost associated with each item for disposal.
Concert - September 8, 2018
The lively "Memphis Shorty" band will be entertaining us Saturday afternoon, Sept 8 in the Cove bordered by Q row & the beginning of M Walk, near ramp 6. The band will play from Joy Hoffacker's deck (The yellow & blue round top). Hopefully neighbors in the cove will welcome others to their decks. There is plenty of space to anchor or tie up boats (it is rumored that a 30 passenger yacht will be attending). This would be great to view from your pontoon party boat. Bring your kayak, or chair (lots of room under ramp 6), or floats. Bring your own beverage & a picnic or munchies, if you want & enjoy the fun group entertain us. The music has been generously paid for by donations from the June Concert. We will pass the hat again to pay for future concerts, so there is NO money taken from the JBMI homeowners' budget- - so bring your wallet.
More details to come in next month's newsletter. Sheryl Eaton, 1877
