We live very closely together in floating home communities. A fire from an engine or gasoline spilll could spread to several houses before help would be available. This is one reason why this commiittee was formed, and why it is mandatory that all members and renters need to provide proof of current registration and insurance that also lists JBMI as insured. This protects all of us in the case of an event. JBMI received a letter when this policy was first enacted, from then Portland Harbor Master Ray Pratt, commending the board for taking the action, adding that he wished all moorages and marinas did so as well. We also aid in resolving water space, egress and ingress issues when neighbors disagree. |
