JBMI was created as a non-profit corporation in 1997. While there as many close similarities between non-profit organizations and HOA's, there are distinctions as well.
JBMI's members share a love for the water, the uniqueness of the lifestyle, and the friendship of like-minded individuals.
JBMI is structured by the rules, restrictions and bylaws of the association, and is governed accordingly by the elected Board of Directors and Officers, who are responsible for the stewardship of the association and acting in accordance with the guidance of its members.
The pandemic, the bridge replacement project, and the problems of homelessness have presented real and complex challenges for the moorage community's daily and long-term operational plans.
With strong support from the members, well-vetted priority setting, and a proactive approach to these challenges on behalf of leadership, we can ensure the sustainability of our community and unique lifestyle into the future.
